After serving in the Air Force for 21 years, I returned home to the Pensacola area. I had owned 9 businesses during my military years. Those opportunities allowed me to gain extensive experience in sales, home construction and with the public. My business has always had a main focus on people and ensuring that I provide the best service to them. I became a Realtor in 2007 with a large franchise brokerage and remained for my first two years before moving to another large franchise brokerage. I have been blessed as being one of the top 3 to 5 percent selling agents in the Pensacola Association of Realtors from 2008 to present. Feeling that I could provide a better service to customers and provide better opportunities to real estate agents, I became a broker and opened Maritime Realty in May of 2017. I believe people that are the most successful in their field have a love for what they do and I certainly love helping people realize their dreams of relocating and home ownership. As a realtor, my job is not to sell homes. It's to find the right home for my customers and lead them through the process of purchasing the home from start to finish. I work with a lot of repeat customers and referrals from past customers. Home buyers and sellers should always research realtors prior to choosing one. Buying a new home is likely the largest purchase a family will make and it should be and can be a great and memorable experience. Successful realtors are those who are there for their customers. When looking for a home, most people look on weekends, after work or on holidays when visiting the area. I know that and make my customers a priority as I work with them on their schedules. I manage my time well and am very family oriented. I make the most of my time with family every day knowing that I may be working the weekend or after hours to help my customers. I am sure that my dedication to my profession and my customers shows from the first conversation with my customers.
My goal with every client is to ensure that their home buying experience goes as smoothly as possible. Searching for your dream home should be an enjoyable experience. I enjoy being able to connect with people and working on their behalf. I have years of experience in selling everything from new construction, foreclosures, re-sale and especially, working with first time home buyers. When I’m not working, I spend my time with my family.

I am an Air Force active duty veteran and current reserve member. I am also lucky enough to be the husband of an amazing wife. Kim originally decided to go into Real Estate in 2013 ago to help people that she knew personally to help them with their real estate needs. She is a Registered Nurse holding a degree from The University of Alabama Birmingham with a background in Clinical Cardiac Research. Having worked for Duke University for several years as a clinical trial Monitor, Kim is used to doing research and as a nurse she is used to ‘holding hand’ with patients as they work through their medical needs. This also applies to Real Estate as she thoroughly researches a property and guides her customers through their home purchasing and selling transactions while ensuring everything goes smoothly through closing.
Rita has worked for Douglas as his assistant since 2012. She takes her duties very seriously ensuring transactions remain smooth as she helps Douglas lead customers through the purchase or selling of their property. Customers often make comment of how they enjoy working with Rita. She holds a real estate license to help her better understand the real estate sales transaction process.
Northwest Florida is the cradle of Naval Aviation, and a great place to live and work. I retired from twenty-two years of active Naval service in 1992 when my wife and three sons moved to Pensacola. I served aboard ship and spent several years overseas with my family including Guam, Naples, Italy, and Rota, Spain. I continued my education here and went to work for AT&T. After nineteen years I retired again and went into real estate. Real estate was a career I was always interested in since my early twenties. I'm looking forward to my new career at Maritime Realty helping people find a great home.
I have moved around the country quite a bit in my past and discovered that you cannot beat the Gulf Coast. My wife and I fell in love with the beautiful beaches and the weather. I spent the last 10 years in the insurance industry and have enjoyed helping people in their time of need. After I raised my four children and sent the last child off to college, it was time to get back out there and continue my passion for helping people. As soon as I made the decision to follow in my grandmothers’ footsteps by becoming a REALTOR®, I knew I had found my calling. I am excited to be able to use all of my skills that I’ve acquired throughout my lifetime to be able to help you achieve your real estate success. My determination and perseverance to accomplish a goal is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. During college I was elected as Vice President of the Science and Math Club and was awarded an Academic Achievement Award for outstanding service to the club. While still in college and into my 20’s, I continued my service minded path as a Leasing Consultant for an apartment community and as a Cosmetic Sales Associate at a local department store. After college and during the years that followed, I gained valuable office skills that would later help me become a successful real estate agent while simultaneously volunteering in many roles to include Girl Scout Troop Leader, Assistant Boy Scout Troop Master, managed the Daphne Alabama Recreation Department Cheerleading Program, managed the Daphne High School Quarterback Club promotional ordering and sales, room mom, Cape Coral Canal Cleanup and various other volunteer opportunities that came up over the years. I have always been a civic minded person. Helping people truly is my greatest passion.
